Hey there! I'm Brittany and the founder and lead filmmaker for Sky Story!

My inspiration for films is drawn from three things that bring emotion and soul to each wedding film:

1. Love stories that are the focal point that direct each story-driven film. Each couple's is unique and deserves attention to detail.

2. Music that is inspired by the feeling I experience between the couple and emotions throughout the events of their wedding. Music was my first love and steers the emotions drawn from the story told.

3. The designs and aesthetics that surround us as I film. From the beautiful architecture to the florals and entertainment that fill a space. The energy that the people give off IN that space.

In a world that can have so much darkness, your love story can bring light and joy. Can inspire others to hope and dream.

NOTE: filming on a boat such as this in Venice has been the most challenging and also most thrilling experience in my career! Venice is overwhelmingly inspiring with all of its rich history in art and music.

I love capturing unscripted moments of pure joy!

I grew with a camera filming all of my childhood experiences and that has translated into the way I film weddings. I approach each wedding day with the nostalgic memories in mind. Like a fly on the wall, I like to pay attention to moments that are unseen by many around them.

While the milestones are essential, I find the in-between ones you don't know you'll need until you seem them to be the most cherished.

I love destination weddings because there is something beautiful about choosing a place for you and your fiancé to not only celebrate a day but enjoy several celebrations and have fun with your top favorite people to enjoy the journey with.
The guests you choose to invite mean more because they are willing to come far for the two if you, and you can have so much fun with them for more than just a couple of hours. Pre parroted, excursions, post parties and all in a different country where memories were made to last.

Hey There!
Fun Fact: I grew up in the wedding business via florals. My mom was (and still is) a florist who does weddings and I had the incredible experience of delivering and decorating alongside her as her assistant.
It's probably why I'm exhilarated by the beauty and essence of a wedding day. The anticipation, the emotions and beefy of it all has always captivated my soul.

Connection is what I love to capture. Yes, it's about the wedding day, but it's beyond just one day. I want your wedding film to exemplify the connection you have with one another and with all the loved ones you chose to invite!

That means less staged and more authenticity. Connection is best captured in the in-between moments.

Want to know a secret?

The inspiration and passion behind my wedding films is MY own love story 🥰

My husband and I are soon to celebrate 15 years of marriage and 19 years together. And while it hasn't been smooth sailing always, it has been the most breathtaking life I can imagine.

There is no perfect recipe for forever... each couple has to find their unique ingredients. Ours is full of a dollop of adventure + humor + friendship + a large portion of passion for one another.

It has led us to two adventurous and beautiful girls and a life full of love. So when couples reach out to me to film THEIR love story, I'm all for it and love watching their beautiful day unfold.

Hi 👋 I'm Brittany, lady behind the camera! I just want you to know how much I LOVE my craft. Spending one of the most important days of your lives is such an honor and privilege and not something to be taken lightly.

This is why I can't encourage couples enough to talk with videographers and photographers before they book with them. You need to make sure that you clique well and feel comfortable because these two vendors are the only ones who will be with you the entire day.

They also need to work well together. I see it as like a dance, taking cues and turns on when to lead and when to follow. That's why I LOVE working with the incredible who does not only capture beautiful photos but is so pleasant and fun to work with. We both just go with the flow during the day and love capturing unplanned beautiful moments.
