California State University San Marcos Announces
Registration for Summer School Classes in Temecula
Courses Will be Offered at CSUSM’s Temecula Campus and at
Mt. San Jacinto College’s Temecula Education Complex
San Marcos, CA, April 12, 2012 -- California State University San Marcos is offering “for-credit” academic summer school courses in the Temecula Valley this year with subject matter ranging from Mathematics, Science, Philosophy and Archeology to Education, Communications and Spanish. These Temecula-based classes will be held at Mt. San Jacinto College’s Temecula Education Complex and at CSUSM’s Temecula campus. They will be taught by CSUSM professors/instructors and will convey full CSUSM credit. The two-term summer session runs from June 2-August 11 and registration is now open.
“We are excited to offer our most popular classes to Temecula-area students this summer, “said Suzanne Lingold, associate dean at CSUSM Temecula. “Many of the classes in math and science are high-demand core classes that students need in order to complete their degrees. Taking them over the summer helps expedite graduation. Because class size is limited to 28-30 participants, we encourage students to register soon to secure the classes they need. “
This year’s program is unique because CSUSM courses will be taught at Mt San Jacinto College. “Knowing that the Mt San Jacinto campus is available this summer gives us an opportunity to expand course offerings here in the Valley,” adds Lingold.
Under an agreement signed earlier this year, MSJC students are guaranteed admission to CSUSM at Temecula’s business programs if they complete 60 semester credits, including full general education certification and meet minimum GPA requirements.
This year’s CSUSM summer classes in Temecula are open not only to CSUSM and MSJC students but also to university students on leave from other programs, high school students and professionals who are seeking to update their skills. For more information or to register visit www.csusm.edu/el/summer.
