UPDATE: The freeway was reopened in both directions at 7:15pm on 8/3.

Highway Fire @ Highway 58 near Cameron Rd, N/W of Mojave -

Incident Command is requesting a hard closure of Hwy 58 in both directions due to a Hazmat situation.

The fire is now 7 to 10 acres with a continued Moderate rate of spread - per Incident Command.

Forward progression stopped on the vegetation portion - per Incident Command
