Other roundup storylines: Tecumseh wrestling had three top-three finishers in a weekend invite and Lenawee United had a failed comeback attempt this past weekend.

The Tecumseh co-op gymnastics team recorded its highest score in six years with a 137.025 on Friday at Linden. It was still not enough as the Linden-Fenton-Lake Fenton co-op tallied a 141.30.

Tecumseh does not have the look of a team that is envisioning its state title ceremony. That could be in its future. But THS players showed they are glued to the present moment, going 5-0 against a murder’s row of opponents this month.

Clinton grad Jeff Randall appeared on The NFL Today on CBS and will appear on ESPN later this month after winning a Dan Campbell look-alike contest in Detroit.

Young individuals with NBA dreams once asked if they could be like Mike. It wasn't impossible, but could anyone be like beloved and barrier-breaking Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell?

Tecumseh returned two major scorers in seniors Ryan Mossburg and Tyler Clement this season, but it was no man’s land beyond that. The duo combined for 37 of their team’s 40 points in a season-opening loss and THS had to cultivate a third scorer fast.

Clinton’s Bryce Randolph was named a second-team linebacker on the 2024 Michigan Sportswriters Division 7-8 All-State football list. Randolph tallied a team-high 116 tackles (51 solo, 65 assisted) and team-best 29 tackles for loss for 7-4 Clinton.

Returning starters Katherine Sullivan, Kierra Pinter and Mikalah Hill have helped guide Tecumseh to a 3-0 record.

Tecumseh saw the departure of multiple cornerstones from its 2024 state semifinal team, but has started this year strong with a 3-0 record. Katherine Sullivan spearheaded Tecumseh's 25-5 win against rival Adrian on Monday at Ten Pin Alley in Tecumseh.

New Tecumseh wrestling coach Drew Simpson had butterflies in his stomach at the start of a season-opener last Thursday at Chelsea. Simpson’s nervousness and excitement were understandable because he was leading a team he once represented as a grappler.
