SYNCING INK pays homage to Hip Hop while also tying in Africa’s roots and influence on the artform. Gordon, the main character wants to be an emcee and he enlists the help of his classmates from his music class. Each person has a part in the path that Gordon chooses, and some push, others challenge him while many doubt him. Unfortunately, he also doubts himself. There are lessons to learn on the journey and as his character blossoms lyrically, we learn that his father was an emcee, who lost his voice. The daily assignments of having to recite haikus helps but one special motivator is in the form of a female force who herself transforms into his biggest motivator. The play seems to tell Gordon’s story not only from his point of view but from the souls and spirits of our forefathers and ancestors who used their words to empower themselves, just as Hip Hop has continued to do for not only one group or race of people, but globally.
SYNCING INK is an enlightening, educational, and entertaining theatrical experience that takes the audience on an dynamic journey rooted in traditional Yoruba culture. Written by NSangou Njikam and directed by Awoye Timpo. This play masterfully weaves together the personal growth of its protagonist, Gordon, with the broader cultural essence of Hip Hop. Gordon's coming-of-age story is touching and inspiring as he learns to harness the power of his words for himself, his family, and the very vitality of Hip Hop. SYNCING INK is a must-see for anyone who appreciates the profound impact of culture, music, and self-discovery. This play is not just a performance; it’s an experience that speaks to the soul and affirms the importance of Hip Hop in our collective humanity." One of the lines “You never know what happens, until you start rapping” sums up this play and life alike SYNCING INK, demonstrates that wonderful and amazing things happen when they start rapping! Make sure you do not miss its run at the Apollo stages at The Victoria until the end of July.

On another episode of “E Double’s EMazing Adventures” myself and my team “Creative Media Group” attended the press event for the musical stage production “Syncing Ink” which in short is the portrayal of an inspiring Master of Ceremonies ( mc, emcee, rapper) and how our African roots is the originator of its “grandchild” (my opinion….from Africa to the Bronx to the Mainstream) “Hip Hop”. These are just the clips. Review and interviews Coming Soon! Check it out, playing at the Apollo stages at The Victoria in Harlem until July!

🚨🚨Available Now🚨🚨

Memories, they say, last for a lifetime… but what if it’s only temporary?

Adulting for Berkeley So’Lei Carson started at a young age due to childhood traumas that crippled her ability to grow past her roots. When Berkeley is attacked and loses her memory, she has a chance to plant again. Longing to put her past behind her, she embarks on a journey of self-preservation. Will she harvest the right seeds in this new season of drought and disaster, or will the rain of the past yield results for the future?

Iceland “Ice” Jones's love for planes made intersecting runways a no brainer... Until his flight landed on an island fueled by the wildfires and desires of his soulmate, Berkeley So’Lei Carson. A catastrophe separated their soul tie, leaving behind the distant memories of a true soul connection. Will Iceland fight to rebuild what once brought them together, or will he leave the wasteland never to return?

Iceland and Berkeley travel up and down, faster than the speed of sound, Back Down Memory Lane. Both realizing that what once was, will always be, even if it’s forgotten in the moment.

RIP Secret 😭😭😭😭
I'm here to help my Facebook friends who are dealing with the grief of Franklin not coming out on top. So in our communities many children are being killed innocently by drug dealers or gang members so what if one of these Killers names is Franklin? Would you want him to get away? So I know that it's just a TV show and we happened to like his character and even in our families if we know someone is doing wrong because we love them sometimes we turned a blind eye. We cannot continue to have double standards. Our babies are being killed. We don't necessarily find it surprising when a drug dealer or gang member is killed because you live by the sword you die by the sword but it is not fair for our babies to not be able to walk freely in their communities. Not just babies there are plenty of innocent bystanders that are falling prey to a game that they are not even playing in. Just wanted to share. We have a responsibility to speak out NOW!
I found this on NewsBreak: Drive-by shooting wounds 3, kills 12-year-old bystander

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Bullets sprayed out from a speeding car in Connecticut’s capital, killing an innocent 12-year-old bystander and wounding three other people who have have rap sheets that include gun crimes, authorities said Friday.
