Our Story

Welcome to Other Southern, a production company based in Greenville, SC. Established in 2016 by Robert Gowan, we offer many audio and video services but specialize in Sound Design, Composition, and Music Production services. Robert has been an active songwriter and recording artist since 2006 and collaborates frequently with other artists to bring together unique creative visions and quality to each project. In 2016 Robert started working in film, focusing primarily on sound working locally and remotely with regional directors. Since, he has branched out into cinematography and has produced and directed, short films, commercials, documentaries, and music videos. He often works with film collaborator Kira Bursky of All Around Artsy and music partner Adam Murphy of Wasted Wine.
