Today, I want to celebrate someone whose vision and passion have changed the course of so many lives Tamanie Dove. As a songwriter, I see her not just as a leader, but as a beacon of hope and a true trailblazer in this industry. From Nashville’s soulful roots to Atlanta’s vibrant pulse, Tamanie’s unwavering dedication to supporting independent artists like us is nothing short of inspiring.
She founded the Singer Songwriters Association (ISSA) with one purpose: to uplift, empower, and give a voice to artists who often go unheard. And what’s so powerful about ISSA is that it’s always been a free platform a gift to every songwriter, singer, and musician out there. No fees, no barriers ,just a space to connect, grow, and be seen.
I know firsthand the countless hours she spends making sure ISSA is visible across social media, industry resources, and online platforms. All to give us ongoing exposure, support, and tools to push our careers forward without asking for anything in return. That kind of selfless dedication is rare, and it reminds me that true leadership is about service and belief in the power of our art.
Whenever I hear people ask about the benefits of ISSA membership, I tell them: it’s about community. It’s about finding others who understand our struggles and our dreams. It’s about networking, support, and staying informed. When you join, your social links and contact info are added for free promotion, opening doors that might have stayed shut otherwise. And I can honestly say ,I’ve never received spam or empty promises from ISSA. Just real opportunities and genuine connections.
