Can I even describe how stoked I am to add the Cranborne Audio Carnaby HE2 to my chain?
No, I can't. It's rhetorical, OKAY?! SO QUIT ASKING!
Forreal though, I came across the Carnaby 500 series harmonic EQ a little over a year ago and was blown away by this genius advancement of gear! A three-band EQ that employs harmonic saturation when cutting and boosting audio rather than the traditional phasing of gain.
As I was overly intrigued and looking to pick up a stereo pair, I am so glad I held out as long as I did. Early this year releasing the HE2 just perfected what was one of the greatest new advancements of gear in decades! The three-band circuitry with input and output gain controls, dual mono, stereo, and now including MID-SIDE processing š®š¤Æš„
Oh yeah, also LO/HI shelving and an AAX/VST/AU plug-in that lets you recall previous settings, retrieve preferred settings, and control the unit remotely from your DAW. Itās truly a gem to have in your arsenal, and couldnāt be happier to own one.
Iām sure I will be posting of video running over this piece of gear sometime in early 2025. I was so excited to get it set up, the few pictures I took with it, the damn thing isnāt even fully in focus LOL
