Remember the pup found in Gibsonton this week? I am temporarily fostering him! Meet Field, a 1-year-old Catahoula mix bursting with energy and personality! When I first caught him, he was absolutely terrified, but he has already transformed into a whole new dog—happy, playful, and full of life! His neck from an embedded collar is still healing and he is also healing emotionally!
🐾 Loves: Puzzle toys (he figured out how to pull this rabbit from a carrot toy!), squeaky toys, and ALL the playtime.
🐶 Dog-Friendly: He gets along well with both a medium and large dog in my home.
👦 Kid-Friendly: He met a 7-year-old and did great with him! We can't comment on younger kids.
⚡ High Energy: If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, Field is your guy!
💋 Affectionate: Field loves to give kisses and is always looking for pets and attention.
What he needs: A long-term foster while he gets neutered, his second round of shots, and continues to learn to trust. He needs someone with patience. He is a bit nervous of the leash (can't blame him tho after he's had an embedded collar!).

🎄 Hoping for a Holiday Miracle for This Sweet Boy 🎄
Yesterday, on Christmas Eve, we witnessed a heartbreaking moment outside Publix in Apollo Beach —a man trying to give away the dog, Saddie. This sweet boy, just 3 years old, could have easily fallen into the wrong hands. Thankfully, Krysten Handy Durant and Justin Durant sprang into action and took him into their home until PRC opens tomorrow.
Now, we’re hoping for a Christmas miracle. ❤️
This lovable pup adores belly rubs, playing with toys, and is great on a leash. He is neutered. He is unknown with dogs, cats, and kids.

The Grinch is here with a Christmas plea: 300 dogs at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center in Tampa will spend Christmas Eve and Day in their kennels because of limited staff. 💔
These pups shouldn’t have to spend the holidays alone. They need fosters to give them even just a day or two of love, comfort, and freedom from their kennels.

This dog has been out for at least FIVE months in Tampa by Fowler. Does anyone know if he has an owner? We can trap but we have no where for this dog to go. Huskies do not do well in shelters. If he doesn't have an owner, is anyone able to foster or adopt?
Note we will go through PRC to see if they have a chip and make sure they are vetted. We can also find a rescue if we have a foster and a backup foster!

Last week in Ruskin, I trapped a frightened and flea-covered husky who was wandering the streets. Her soulful howls revealed her breed, but her trembling body told the story of a life spent in fear and uncertainty.
She was so scared she wouldn’t jump into the car, and picking her up wasn’t an option—she simply couldn’t trust humans yet. With a reactive dog at home, keeping her wasn’t possible, and taking her to a shelter seemed like a heartbreaking last resort.
But then, a glimmer of hope. In just 24 hours, this terrified girl began to show her true spirit. Slowly but surely, she started warming up to belly rubs, a small but powerful sign that she’s ready to trust again. She’s still overwhelmed—she may have never even been inside a home before—but the spark of love is already there.
That’s where Mercy Full Project stepped in. Heather Viviano gave them a call and they agreed to take this sweet girl under their wing, but they can’t do it alone.
