Beginning this year, PBS KIDS is rolling out a full slate of civics-themed content. The effort will span across a range of both new and existing series aimed at encouraging viewers to get involved in their communities and learn more about what’s happening around them.
“Kids are so perceptive to everything happening around them, and at PBS KIDS, we believe it’s important that they have a place to go to learn about civics in an age-appropriate way,” said Sara DeWitt, Senior Vice President and General Manager, PBS KIDS.

Today we had our last Summer Challenge Camp for 2024, and how wonderful to end with “All About Languages!”
Families learned about languages and alphabets from all over the world and heard from guest speakers who speak Arabic, Amharic, and Malayalam. Children listened to a story called “Teatime Around the World,” wrote their names in different languages, and created letter art as well. It was amazing! 🌎
A special shout out to our new interns, Mira and Olivia, our coordinator, Ryann, and our friends at Fred George Basin Greenway and Misty Penton for making today a huge success. 🎉 At WFSU, we believe in partnership and love our Tallahassee Learning Neighborhood!
