Restaurant Review: Tony’s in Greentown

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Tony’s in Greentown, and let me just say—it was an experience worth savoring! From start to finish, the meal was filled with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a true Italian-American vibe that left me completely satisfied.

Eggplant Fries
We kicked things off with the eggplant fries, and wow, they were a standout! Lightly breaded and perfectly crispy on the outside, the fries were tender and flavorful on the inside. Paired with their house-made marinara sauce, the tangy richness complemented the eggplant beautifully. I could have eaten an entire plate of these alone!

Tomato Soup
Next came the tomato soup, and it was nothing short of comfort in a bowl. It had that slow-cooked, homey flavor with just the right balance of acidity and creaminess. The seasoning was spot-on, and it was a perfect warm-up for the meal ahead.

Broccoli Rabe and Sausage Appetizer
The broccoli rabe and sausage appetizer was a delightful mix of earthy, bitter greens and savory, juicy sausage. The slight bitterness of the rabe was tamed by the garlic and olive oil, and the sausage added a hearty, satisfying touch. Together, it was the perfect blend of flavors—a must-try for fans of Italian classics.

Chicken Piccata with Spaghetti Pasta
For the main course, I chose the chicken piccata with spaghetti pasta, and it was everything I hoped it would be. The chicken was tender, cooked to perfection, and bathed in a bright, lemony sauce with capers that added a tangy, briny punch. The spaghetti was cooked al dente and soaked up the luscious sauce beautifully. Every bite was a harmonious mix of citrusy, savory, and comforting flavors.

Overall Experience
The atmosphere at Tony’s was cozy and welcoming, with a friendly staff that made the experience even better. The portions were generous, the flavors were incredible, and every dish felt like it was made with care.

If you’re ever in Greentown and looking for a place that delivers classic Italian-American dishes with heart and flavor, Tony’s should be at the top of your list. Whether you’re a fan of comforting soups, inventive appetizers, or traditional entrees, this spot has something for everyone. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu!
