Can we all just be decent human beings to one another today and everyday here after? I had never felt more animosity from other Americans towards one another, myself and people I love (all of us fellow American’s) than I have over the last decade. The unfounded judgement of our neighbors based on stereotypes and political affiliations is no way to honor this great experiment of democracy, our United States.

When the day ends and the people have spoken can we let sleeping dogs lie and move forward? We have one of the safest voting systems, that in studies over the years have exhibited very little fraud. We don’t have to agree politically but we should be able to exhibit a common respect for one another. I voted what I believe is in the best interest of not just myself but all of our countries inhabitants. I will also believe you voted in what you felt was the best option, we all must remember that the decision wasn’t just mine or yours it was ours and once the votes are all counted, it has been decided. I am hopeful for what I think would be the best choice but I also hope that if my choice doesn’t win that the nation will prosper in ways that will positively effect all of us. We all voted because we love U.S., let that be what we hold on to. That we all love our country…let that love unite us…it’s time to begin to heal the divisions and to fight against issues that really matter, together.

I spent this afternoon sick with an ailment few people know about, Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome or CVS. I swear when an episode hits me I think that it must be what dying feels like. It doesn’t have any rhyme or reason of when it’s going to happen. Sometimes I go a year without an episode and sometime it’s a cluster of episodes over a few months. Either way it is painfully uncomfortable and debilitating. Do you or anyone you know battle this strange phenomenon?

I just celebrated my 49th birthday and sat down to make a list of some of the life lessons I have learned for myself along the way. I tried to start my lessons with things from my childhood on up. I would love to hear what life lessons you would h...

Sitting on the deck on this hot July Sunday and noticed our friend “Rocky” the raccoon is back relaxing in the tree off the side of the deck.

This is the reason I can never get behind the ideation of there not being a separation of church and state. I respect people of faith and I would hope that more people of faith could accept and respect that not everyone believes the same way and that is okay. We are not Gods we do not make the rules and should not enforce the man made perception of the word of God. The church is not a safe space for even the most devout of Christians if they are unable to be their true selves. For someone to have to deny who they are is a devastating and lonely life. No one should have to tiptoe through life to make others comfortable while twisting inside of themselves.

This was 4 years ago and one of the reasons I ended up dipping my toes into the podcasting world. My first podcast was “No Longer Applicable” co-hosted with my friend Katie, which only had a few episodes but was well received. I learned a lot from that experience and I bring that with me to the All Mixed Up Podcast.

I have not been to happy with many scotus rulings as of late but I’m very happy about this one. This is something so personal to me. When you have loved ones murdered by their significant other your perspective on a lot of things are changed. This ruling will save lives!

I am saddened to hear of Donald Sutherland's passing today. I just finished watching him in a series. Despite his advanced age, he continued to take on impressive acting roles, showcasing his exceptional talent. His presence in film will be greatly missed. Do you have a favorite Donald Sutherland film? If so, what is it?

I feel like finishing Lawmen: Bass Reeves was a great way to end this Juneteenth. If you haven’t watched it I encourage you to check it out on Paramount+. The finale was a perfect episode to represent the power of what Juneteenth is all about.

Should you celebrate Juneteenth? Revisit a podcast from two years ago for more insight into this topic.

With the addition of Juneteenth as a new national holiday this year I wanted to reflect about what Juneteenth is and what the differences between that and July 4th are. I find Juneteenth to be a celebration of our freedoms and diversity. Diversity...

My Story

When I first saw my friend become a Social Media Marketer I thought it was a total joke. She was a smart woman and we had gone to UW together so I just quietly watched her for a while. A little back story, I was diagnosed with MS in 2010 and ever since I have worked on my wellness to feel my possible best. I had been juicing everyday for a year at that time when my friend posted about Greens, which has the nutrition of 8 fruits and veggies, superfoods, alkalize, balance and detoxes you on a daily basis, it caught my attention. I finally reached out to her to find out more and ended up ordering the Greens. At the time I was spending $100 a week on produce to juice and 30 minutes every morning to do it. When I received my first order I was blown away. These were better than juicing for me. They gave me more energy and the added nutrients, that I wasn’t getting in the 4-5 items I was juicing, made a huge difference in my skin, cravings and I just felt better. So after a week of using Greens I placed an additional order for the body contouring wraps just because I thought they were extra ridiculous and if those really worked than my friends venture was legit. Well of course the contouring wrap worked or I wouldn’t be telling you my story.

I had a FT career as a Career and Education Coach and a Program Navigator at our local college. I worked to help people in all manners from Low Income Students, Military Transitioning Students and Outreach with the different community organizations in our area. I loved what I was doing but my MS was taking its toll and I knew I would not be able to keep up this pace for much longer. I had been using products for several months at this point and it donned on me that this could be a career change for me. To be able to work from home and focus on my wellness for a better quality of life, I was already losing so much to MS and I didn’t want to lose more. I became a Social Media Marketer in 2015, was able to leave FT employment in 2016, left PT employment in 2017 and I get to help people in all walks of life reach health and wellness goals to improve their overall quality of life. I do not want to sell you anything, I want to inspire your lifestyle change. I want to teach others to invest in themselves they way they invest in other areas of their lives. You are worth it.
