While researching LGBTQ marketing in fashion and beauty, I realized the art of the music video was way ahead in promoting fashion and beauty to a q***r consumer. Many wanted to dress like Boy George or Annie Lennox. Looking for more in our next issue on 'Building Beauty' going live on February 1st.

'Culture Club' wasn't just a band - they were a revolution in eyeliner and androgyny. First time I saw Boy George on TV, my world tilted on its axis.
Here was this beautiful creature, defying every rule of how men should look or act. In a sea of macho rockers, George was a technicolor dream, daring to be feminine and fierce.
'Do You Really Want to Hurt Me' felt like it was ripped from my diary. And 'Karma Chameleon'? An anthem for every kid who felt like a misfit.
George didn't just sing about heartbreak - he showed us that being different could be a superpower. In a world of black and white, Culture Club was a rainbow explosion 🏳️‍🌈
