The 2024 Kentucky Derby party hosted by Father Champlin's Guardian Angel Society, and held at Marriott Syracuse Downtown, played host to a lively crowd and a roaring live band. You can bet your winning horse that we'll be here again next year to bring the fun once again!

Heading onto our May 7th recap, we had the Longhouse Council, BSA's 56th annual ScoutPower event, held at Onondaga Community College!

Through their Sponsor tables and silent auctions, the goal of this event was to build connections and create lasting memories.
This was especially the case when Col. Eileen Collins, the first women to both pilot a space shuttle and be a Mission Commander in NASA history, gave an empowering speech to all the scouts in attendance.

It is with great esteem that VisTec had the opportunity to sponsor this event as well as provide the audio-visual components.

If you were to ask us of a time we succeeded in the face of severe adversity, you'd have to look no further than the 2024 SkillsUSA conference.

The event itself was phenomenal: seeing so many up and coming students learning new trades and finding new passions was inspiring!
But with the number of moving parts and sheer quantity of people involved, we are extremely proud of our personnel for pulling through that day, and for making the AV components of the experience a success.

While we're working our way through the backlog of Spring events, we can't forget about the CenterState CEO Annual Meeting!

Jumping back to April 11th, Centerstate CEO held their 2024 annual conference titled "Aligned: Leading the Face of Change."
With the future of business and industry changing in Syracuse, Centerstate is looking to prepare local businesses to face the new tomorrow.

This event is absolutely MASSIVE every year, and its nice to see a lot of our clients all in one space!

Back on March 20th, Syracuse KeyBank held their annual Special awards event at their South Warren Street location.

This event was a fun one, letting us work with the staff to provide walk up music for all of the recipients.

This event in particular was also special for one of our own team members, because it marked her first full year working for Visual Technologies! 🎉✨

Hey everyone~! Sorry it's been a bit since we last posted; our schedule has been absolutely PACKED!
But as we begin to wind down from our Spring graduation events, lets take a look at some of the highlights. Starting with:

The Central New York Business Journal nonprofit awards!

Back on March 19th, the CNY Business Journal celebrated the efforts and achievements of several local Nonprofit organizations and their personnel. We got to hear from a variety of passionate individuals including Keynote Laura Hand CNYCentral, local retired news anchor and reporter, and previous recipient of the nonprofit Career Achievement award.

Congratulations to this year's recipients, and thank you for your hard work!

Last week, Visual Technologies had the honor of being the AV providers to the New York State Association for Bilingual Education 2024 Conference.

With the purpose to empower multilingual student voices in advocation for the right to bilingual education, this three day event allowed many voices to take the stand to share experiences and teach about multilingual education.

We are very glad that the event was a success, and we look forward to seeing the push for greater equality in learning.

Congratulations to John Fentress, who has started a new role at Visual Technologies: a Certified Trial Technology, Deposition, and Evidentiary Specialist!
He will be heading this expansion of VTC's Legal support services in addition to his expertise as an AV technician.

The Syracuse Hancock International Airport held their annual "State of the Airport" event at the beginning of February detailing their projected plans for 2024. Not only was 2023 their busiest year in the history of the facility, with plans to increase the size of the airport's catchment area, they hope to see even more revenue this next year.

This past month, Baker Hughes and Waygate Technologies held their first international meeting in a decade to unveil the New Mentor Visual IQ+!

People from all across the globe met at a summit in Skaneateles to discover new innovations specifically manufactured to help industries all across the globe.

The evening of our largest fund-raising event, the InterFaith Leadership Award Dinner, a storm took out all power to our venue. Auxiliary lights came on, but we were without the power necessary to run our video, presentations and music. Tim Allen from Visual Technologies went above and beyond under extraordinary circumstances to get us as functional as possible."

American Red Cross Eastern New York held their Real Heroes Luncheon this week to celebrate the individuals whom have shown immeasurable courage and dedication in the assistance of those in need within their communities.
The many stories we saw that day were nothing less than inspiring as the strength and efforts of the heroes shown through. 💖💪

It was a pure honor to be a part of this event, and we are very glad that it was a success. Please continue to do good as we head into the new year!

Today, BizEventz held their 9th annual Family Business Awards to honor businesses belonging to seven different categories. Events like this impact the community greatly, encouraging independent and family owned businesses by spotlighting their efforts.

There is a lot of hope heading into the holiday season this year. Last month, the Rescue Mission Alliance of Syracuse held their HOPE Awards Event to recognize key members in their community.

So much work goes into ensuring individuals and families have food, clothes, and shelter especially during winter; it was amazing to see those that facilitate such a goal being rewarded for their care and commitment.

Friends of Second Chance Canine Adoption Shelter held their 5th annual gala event to celebrate the beautiful puppers that have recently found loving families.
All of the pictures shown at the event were so darn cute, and it was great to meet some of the 'Second Chance Superstars' themselves!

On November 12th, Hope for Heather held their Hope and Heels Fashion Show to raise support for the fight against Ovarian cancer. There were a lot of snazzy outfits for a great cause; and being hosted by none other than Christie Casciano Burns and Scott Lombardo, this was a morning that was not to be missed!

This has certainly been an eventful November for the AV crew! There are quite a few events that we have yet to post about, so to start off:
Shoutouts to the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State (AMTNYS) and their 73rd Annual Conference that was held November 10th & 11th. In offering 120 different sessions throughout the weekend, this event was a huge success in sharing teaching methods and insight between the Mathematics Teachers of New York State.

It was a true honor to handle the AV for this event. It was also very interesting to hear some of the techniques that were shared. Thank you for choosing Visual Technologies! 💖
