MY WIFE VOLUNTEERED ME TO HELP HER FAMILY MOVE WHILE SHE WENT TO A HOCKEY GAME WITH HER FRIEND – I TAUGHT HER A LESSON.

So, my wife's brother and his girlfriend are moving in together, and my wife volunteered me to help them while she was supposed to stay home with our 4-year-old son. My MIL could watch him, but she got sick and had to decline.

Then, on the morning of the move, my wife dropped a bombshell. Her friend invited her last minute to a playoff hockey game, so she's going and taking our son with her. I'm missing his first big sporting event with my boy! They left and she kept sending photos from the game to our family chat.

I always dreamed I'd write about important stuff, like saving the environment! But nope — my boss straight-up told me I'd be fired if I didn't start digging into someone else's dirty laundry. So, I had no choice. Here was the deal: I'd be a maid in the mansion of this old millionaire who's been blowing his fortune on private investigators for years. Mr. Weiss was actually a nice guy. His only rule? Don't go into his study. Obviously, that's where all the secrets were. So, I distracted him and snuck in. What I saw… was terrifying.

The walls were covered with photos, red string connecting them like some kind of conspiracy board, and all these weird notes. On the desk was a sketch of a pendant — IDENTICAL to the one hanging around my neck!
