Charlotte of Syracuse quit va**ng in early 2023 after developing a heavy dependency on v**e products. She says she had difficulties breathing and developed asthma. After trying unsuccessfully to quit a few times, the NYS Quitline helped her kick the habit for good.

The NYS Quitline goes fare beyond a phone number. There's also a website, text service, medication, counseling, and other resources.

The company is requesting a 15 percent increase in electricity delivery rates and 20 percent for natural gas by 2025. NYS regulators will scrutinize the plan over the next 11 months.
