This week at LLAB 8, the GMC led GMCTO! GMC takeover is a week where the GMC (AS 100s and 200s) lead the detachment like the POC, while the POC take the role of the GMC (and have to wear Air Power Polos). LLAB started with a Jeopardy game hosted by Cadet Burns, where the Cadets needed to answer questions based on Warrior Knowledge and questions based on Detachment 535. Next, the cadets broke into two groups, one group going to view a combative brief from Cadet Tang and Sekyi-Williams, and the other to a detail marching scavenger hunt. The two groups were then switched so both could participate in each activity. LLAB ended with a safety briefing from DPS.

For GMCTO, Cadet Santos was the Group Commander for the week, taking the role of Cadet Landry, and Cadet Glennon was the Deputy, taking over the role of Cadet Weaver. It seemed that everyone had a great time at LLAB and a great start to Spring Break! Way to go Det 535!

This week at LLAB 6 the Cadets performed Squadron Marching in the snowy environment of the Syracuse campus. Then the Cadets broke off from Squadron formation and performed a "race" in Details where they needed to reach the National Veterans Resource Center first (by reforming into their warrior flights) while performing correct Detail Marching procedures. From there, the GMC learned how to recognize and deal with explosives they may encounter in the field. LLAB 6 wrapped up with a presentation given by Cadet Khant about the history of Detachment 535, and rewards were given out to Cadets that put serious time and effort into helping out the Detachment through Dome Ops.
