Boris Blank and Dieter Meier - two guys from Switzerland who have been shaping electronic music since the early-80s.

Yello was founded by Boris Blank and Carlos Perón in the late 70s. In 1979, they decided to add a vocalist. They chose Dieter Meier, a millionaire pl***oy whose deep voice added expressiveness to Boris Blank's songs. Their first single I.T. Splash was released in 1979. In 1980, they released their debut album Solid Pleasure, which included a major dance hit Bostich. However, they achieved real success in 1983 with the singles I Love You and Lost Again and consolidated it in 1985 with the release of the album Stella, which included the hits Oh Yeah, Vicious Games and Desire. In 1984, Carlos Perón left the band to focus on his solo career. Huge success came in 1988, when they released the song The Race as a single - still very popular in illustrating all kinds of films related to cars, racing and rallies. In the 90s, fascinated by contemporary electronic music creators, they changed their image to a more danceable one, without giving up their characteristic sounds. With songs such as How How, To the Sea and Planet Dada, they managed to adapt to current trends in dance music.

In 1995, leading artists representing the techno culture recorded remixes of their songs on the album Hands On Yello. In the same year, the label Low Low Spirit Recordings invited them to their flagship event held in Germany - Mayday, where they gave a live performance as a surprise-act.

With their original sound and ideas, Yello were ahead of their time. Right from the start, they mastered sampling and looping techniques, creating their own style that was a mix of ambitious electronics and pop feeling.

When you go to a party or pay to listen to a professional DJ, with knowledge, experience. If he's playing a song that you DON'T KNOW, don't make a face or turn to look at him to make the classic "CHANGE that tune" sign, because two or three weeks later that song is going to be popular or it's going to be a hit and you're very likely going to ask the DJ himself for it. On the other hand, it is assumed that if you go out to party it is to get out of the routine, to discover new and quality music releases, NOT THE SAME as always recycled garbage that you already listen to in your home, car, or digital platforms, any type of music has an evolution, if you really love a style of music you are taught to evolve with it, don't stagnate or allow an avant-garde wannabe DJ or a clueless listener to stagnate you to please their very reduced taste in music. Stand out, Grow, expand, Take Comand !!!
