Meet The Team!

Weston Hendrix is the Son of Brad and Krista Hendrix from Sweetwater, Tx.

He is the Owner and Host of EmpowerU, where not only is he fully involved with the industry but what he believes is his calling.

He now resides in Brenham, Tx where he is on the livestock judging team for Blinn College. He delved into competitive livestock judging, facing initial setbacks but ultimately persevering. His judging journey began by not advancing, but intensive efforts, including attending Blinn judging camp and seeking guidance from seasoned judges, paid off. Now being grateful to Blinn for letting him be a part of their program and team.

In the year preceding high school marked a transformative chapter in his life. Meeting Kolten Thigpen in his family’s feed store led to an unexpected journey of working with cattle. Despite initial reservations about his experience, he seized the chance to learn and eventually became an integral part of the business. From breaking in American show steers to working his way up to collecting bulls, the experience became a testament to the opportunities God had in store for him.

There’s no doubt pressure is found in hard times but it’s when you’re under pressure you show your ability to work. He appreciates all the people who have stepped into his life and helped mold him into the stockman he is today. No doubt there’s going to be ups and downs. You will have bad and good days. There are some days you want to quit. There’s going to be people talking about you. There’s going to be problems. If you stay true to you and pursues your passions and follow your heart. You can be successful. Embrace the imperfections, cherish the successes, and navigate the challenges.

In closing, He express’s deep gratitude for being a part of this industry and the opportunity to share his story. With that said he hopes you all can learn and enjoy from what his team has to offer, It’s a testament to the transformative power of passion, resilience, and unwavering dedication.

Meet The Team!

Augustus Sexton is a 4th generation cattle rancher from Cost, Texas.

Growing up with a dad who is a County Extension Agent, Augustus always knew he would be raising and showing cattle through 4-H. He is an active part of his family’s purebred cattle operation specializing in Hereford and Angus seed stock genetics.

Competing in Livestock Judging has been a huge part of Augustus’ life and he plans to excel through college and be competitive on a collegiate judging team once his 4-H career is complete.

Passing on knowledge of agriculture to the next generation is important so he takes his personal experiences along with those learned through 4-H and the TYLA (Texas Youth Livestock and Agriculture) Ambassador program to heart by sharing with as many as he can.
Augustus has the honor of serving in 4-H leadership roles through his club, county, district and State. He is passionate about the program because he knows how amazing the opportunities for growth and development are in an array of project areas.

Augustus enjoys having the EmpowerU podcast as a platform to share livestock and agriculture knowledge with varied ages and groups as well as his faith in Jesus Christ.

Augustus has been with here since day one, he’s truly helped build the foundation of this platform that’s allowed all the success. Thanks for being part of his journey!

Episode 10 Season 2 : Indecision Is Not An Option - Limitless Boundaries With Topher Dalton & Mason Koepp

Ending out season 2, not only have we grown as people, but grown as a platform. We hope everyone knows how much this truly means to us. We would also like to thank our sponsors for supporting us throughout this season. We could not be more grateful for the time, money, and effort they put into investing in this platform.
