Meet Lambchop:

6 years ago I had my favorite bun Flossy(a tri holland) and a chessnut lionhead girl caged together.They were both young ,around 4 months old.I didn't have many rabbits at the time and was just a newbie.One day I found 5 kits in their cage that were just born.That is when I learned first hand bout that "s*x change fairy the rabbit folks talked about" .That chessnut lionhead was bought as a girl ,had been s*xed by multiple folks and BOOM was overnight a father.
Flossy has no idea what to do with her babies and wanted no part of being a momma.I hasld not had the best of luck hand feeding and did not know what a miracle ni**le was back then.I was so nervous to take on feeding an entire litter by myself and had no other buns in milk.I remember sitting in the barn 2xs a day feeding those 5 babies and singing to them.I had a prayer cloth in their nest box.
This litter of lionlops were the first entire litter I ever saved handfeeding.It was a beautiful ,amazing learning experience!

I have bought out and kept many a rabbitries legacies going for many years and I loved every min of it.These past few years circumstances beyond my contol have taken way more of my time than I could stretch into a day.I have cut down more times than I can count thinking this will be a good number but daily cried knowing my babies are not getting what they need from me.I have pressed so hard running non stop these last few years I had lost my way.I am stepping away from the animal part of farm life while reaching for the Lord and getting our peace and health back.

I remember the hot summer day I told myself there is no need to even try and plant more seed as your other garden has overgrown.Today I am thankful that I pressed thru the heat and used that old hoe to make that no where near straight row.Thankful for my rabbits p**p that fertilized the seed.Thankful for the rain ,and the sun.Thankful for our followers !
