After fighting a rare disease that left him a shell of his former self, veteran reporter and broadcaster Ric Oliveira has his magik back and is returning to form.
“Life changed from a tick bite,” he said. “It jumped off of Jasiel Correia during the Snow Owl investigation and bit me in the leg. It was like a parasite. It sucked off my joy and my energy and even how I saw Fall River.”
After much blood -letting and years of treatment, Ric, a man credited with leading the effort to change the color of the Braga Bridge from his former AM radio perch, said that he has regained his sense of humor and the fire in his belly.
“I thought it was gas but nope,” he said.
