Last craft to decorate our Dad's front door. I got inspiration for this from Creating Through Chaos, thank you Janice! Wood hearts and base from the Dollar Tree, Love, glass bottle, flowers, & scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby. First, I painted the hearts with Sheepskin chalk paint by FolkArt (front & back of large heart)and the Love and small heart with Vintage Victorian pink chalk paint (just the front of small heart). Then I Mod Podged the scrapbook paper to the front of both hearts. I then went around the edges of both hearts and the Love with Antique Wax by FolkArt, I also stained the wood base with the same Antique Wax. When all was dry, I glued the small heart to the middle of the larger heart with Gorilla Super Glue. I took some jute and a small rose gold key (from Totally Dazzled), I wrapped the jute around both hearts a couple of times, added the key to the middle, tying a knot and securing the ends of the just on the back with hot glue. I also placed a small dot of hot glue to the key to keep it in place. I attached the hearts to the base on an angle with Gorilla Super Glue and the Love to the front of the base making sure it wasn't too far down and would still stand up. Last, I glued the little jar to the base to the left of the heart and behind the "L", wrapped jute around the top of the vase (jar) tying a little bow, added the paper flowers and that's it! I really do love this one, it came together so easily with all the pinks matching! The paper on the little heart has rose metallic spots that matches the key. So pretty I love love love it. Can't wait to put these up at our Dad's place and see his reaction!
