If you have ever been in the Ocean - There is good chance that you have swam with a shark. At certain times of the the year Bull sharks frequent the waters of Bimini, The Bahamas during their annual migration. Around the corpuscular hours of sunrise and sunset you can find them traveling along the shore break of the beaches, either heading to the marinas to get fish scraps from the fishermen or out to deeper water to hunt. Tourists and ocean lovers have been in the water with these sharks along these beaches for many years co-existing peacefully. The worse thing you can do if you notice a bull shark in the water with you is frantically splash as you try to rapidly exit the water - behaving just like an injured fish ! If you are uncomfortable try to calmly and slowly exit. I filmed all this footage off the beach in Bimini - The Bahamas.

Freediving with Great Hammerhead Sharks in Bimini - The Bahamas. ‪‬ Jillian Morris has been freediving and photographing these sharks off the coast of Bimini for over 12 years. This migratory species frequents the waters around Bimini in the winter and early spring months. Sadly many of the Hammerhead friends she has made over the years have not survived after leaving the protected waters of The Bahamas.
