GNAT-TV serves as the community's media hub, providing public access to a variety of media technologies, equipment, and training, all aimed at enriching our regional community. Our mission is to connect and empower the community through government access, education, and local voices. We strive to facilitate and foster free speech and the open expression of ideas. As a community resource, we offer

comprehensive training in new media technologies. Our goal is to promote civic and cultural engagement, empowering individuals to connect, communicate, and contribute. As one of Vermont's 25 community media centers, GNAT-TV is committed to broadcasting public, educational, and governmental content tailored by and for the community. We provide service to the Southern Vermont towns of Arlington, Dorset, Londonderry, Manchester, Peru, Rupert, Sandgate, Sunderland, Stratton, Weston, and Winhall. This Valentine’s Day, GNAT invites you to join us in honoring the Hearts of Our Community – the people, places, and moments that make our town special. ❤️

From the friendly faces at local businesses to the neighbor who always lends a hand, every act of love and kindness strengthens the bonds that hold us together. Let’s take a moment to reflect on what makes our community feel like home and share it with each other.

Here’s how you can participate:

1. Share Your Story: Submit a short video (15-30 seconds), a photo, or a heartfelt note about someone or something in our community that you appreciate.

For immediate release:

The Town of Londonderry recently formed the Long Term Recovery Committee, charged with developing a Recovery Plan to assist in building a sustainable, resilient, and equitable approach toward disaster recovery and growth for the whole community. The committee is comprised of twelve individuals from the Town’s boards and committees, appointed by the Selectboard, and will work with the assistance of representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

In beginning its work, the Committee would like to gather feedback and input from the community at large. To this end, there will be a Public Meeting on Saturday, January 25, from 9:30 – 11:30 am at the Old Town Hall at 139 Middletown Road in South Londonderry. In the event of a snowstorm, the meeting will be rescheduled to Saturday, February 1, at the same time and location.

All residents of Londonderry and South Londonderry are encouraged to attend. The meeting can also be accessed via Zoom. Details will be on the Town website.

Vermont’s First Civic Health Index Launches This Week!

The Vermont Secretary of State’s office is releasing the state’s first-ever Civic Health Index, a report exploring key areas like volunteerism, political engagement, media trust, and more. It also includes findings from the Vermont Youth Civic Health Survey.

The launch event is this Wednesday, January 15, from 5:30–7:30 PM at Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro, featuring highlights, a panel discussion, and small group conversations.

February 5 at St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, 5:30–7:30 PM
February 13 at Aldrich Public Library in Barre, 5:30–7:30 PM

The Tschorn family and The Arlington Common invite you to a free screening of Underdog. What began as a multimedia project for a Middlebury College student turned into a ten-year journey, resulting in this 82-minute documentary.

Underdog follows Doug Butler, a Vermont dairy farmer who takes a big risk — leaving behind the only home he’s known to chase his dream of dog mushing in Alaska.

Join us for a Crowdsourced Cinema Vermont marathon!
Catch the past four years of community-made films airing all day, every day from January 6th - January 12th.

Crowdsourced Cinema VT is a statewide collaborative filmmaking project where community members recreate scenes from iconic films. Coordinated by Vermont Access Network (VAN) community media centers, including GNAT-TV, this project brings creativity and community spirit to the screen.
