Our Story
Painted Recordings is run by Marcus Trana, a Norwegian freelance drummer and producer. Before moving to Sturgeon Bay in 2013, Marcus recorded and toured with numerous Scandinavian artists. His drumming has taken him all over the globe, with gigs in Tokyo, Iceland, L.A. and Austin, Texas. He also worked PR and booking with Brilliance Records in Oslo, Norway. Since arriving in Sturgeon Bay, Marcus has worked with several artists associated with the Holiday Music Motel, including, pat mAcdonald, Deathfolk, Brett Newski, Marja Johnson and many others. Painted Recordings is located in historic downtown Sturgeon Bay, on the top floor of the Tambourine Collaboratory.
