Netflix started filming a new series in January that is scheduled to air in December called "Ransom Canyon". It’s a multi-generational family show set on a Texas hill country ranch described as Virgin River meets Yellowstone. I am fortunate to have these two songs pitched by Crucial Music to the new series. These pictures are of my Uncle Tom. He was a farmer who loved his family, and his faith. He was one of the strongest men I will ever know, for so many reasons. The biggest reason is that he knew where his strength came from. He knew the Lord was his source of strength, and he continuously pointed others towards it. I am blessed to have country christian artist Collin White cutting two of my songs this month in Nashville. Collin is a very talented young man, and he is also a finalist in the Inspirational Country Music Association competition "The Sound of Small Town America" to be held in May at the Grand Ole Opry. I want to thank my friend Steve Bridgmon for introducing my songs for Collin, and I want to thank my friend Paul Bowen who will be producing the songs for Collin. I grew up listening to the great songs of the 60s and 70s on transistor radios and eight track players. With the shifting of genres throughout the years the way I write is now considered country, whereas back then it was considered rock, pop or folk. Oh well....it is what it is, and it's the way I love to write.
