Greetings! All over the place this week! Starting on more of a jazz note, meandering all over the place to more ambient/atmospheric things from the folks at Projekt Records and focusing on new releases in Phase Two. Enjoy! Joel e-mail: [email protected] Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profi...

We’re excited to share that the 2026 Women Composers Festival of Hartford will take place at Central Connecticut State University!

This vibrant campus will be the home for a weekend of inspiring performances, collaborations, and conversations celebrating women and gender-marginalized composers.

Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

Don’t forget—applications for the Composer-in-Residence and Ensemble-in-Residence positions are accepted year-round, but submissions received by January 1 will be considered for the next three Festival years. If you’re thinking of applying, now is the time! Full details and application links are available on the WCFH website: https://www.womencomposersfestivalhartford.com/calls-for-participation/

Enjoy! Joel e-mail: pushingtheenvelopew...

Flashback to last year’s pre-concert reception! One of the most meaningful parts of the festival is connecting with people who share a passion for music and for celebrating women composers.

We’re so grateful for this community — and we can’t wait to gather again in 2026!
