Little Manila Rising

Reminder❗️ Celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the designation of the Little Manila Historic Site by joining Little Manila Rising in doing a walking tour of the site. We will discuss the history of Filipino migration to Stockton as well as the rich history of other migration to create the Oriental Quarter (Little Manila, Chinatown, and Nihonmachi) and the destruction of these cultural sites due to the Crosstown Freeway construction. We will also be venturing to the Filipino American National Historical Society Museum located at 337 E. Weber Ave. and so we are expecting a little over a mile walking in total. Please bring comfortable shoes and water.
