INCIDENT TYPE: 3 vehicle crash E IH40 east bound proper and Whitaker
OFFICER SUBMITTING RELEASE: Sgt. Del Fierro-Traffic Investigation; Sgt Burr-PIO
DETAILS: On 10/17/2024, Officers were dispatched to E. 1H40 eastbound proper at Whitaker on a major crash involving 3 vehicles. All vehicles were East bound on IH 40 when one of the vehicles, a Chevrolet Silverado lost control causing the Silverado to strike a green Chevrolet Suburban. The Suburban rolled several times causing the driver, male, age 32, to be ejected from the vehicle. He suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The occupants in the other 2 vehicles were not injured. The incident is being investigated by the Traftic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.

Hall County: Memphis
A blue alert has been issued for Seth Altman.
Seth is wanted in the involvement of shooting Memphis Police Chief.
Police were delivering a warrant to Altman for a burglary charge.
Officials say the suspect fled out the back of the house and was confronted by the police chief who was shot by Altman.
The police chief was taken to Lubbock for medical treatment and is in stable condition.
Seth Altmans Description:
6’2 White 220lbs blue T-Shirt & Blue Jeans.
Altman is believed to be armed and dangerous.
If you see him, do not approach him, call 9-1-1

We shared this father’s Gofundme not long ago and now we have been sent this!
Those that have been following this have seen the GoFundMe and the updates when we get them. We have to go back on 10/29 & 10/30 to check her vitamin D levels again and to meet with the anesthesiologist and make a pain management plan for her big day. Surgery is scheduled for 1/2/2025 at Cooks Children’s. If you wouldn’t mind sharing this far and wide, we would greatly appreciate it.

State Of Texas: SETH ALTMAN REWARD
The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for any information regarding 33-year-old Seth Altman, who is accused of shooting Memphis Police Chief Rex Plant late Thursday night.
Officials say Chief Plant and another officer were serving an arrest warrant for burglary of a habitation when the suspect shot Chief Plant multiple times. Altman then ran away from the area.
Chief Plant was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital where officials say he is stable.
This reward is in addition to the $10,000 reward that was part of an announcement from Governor Greg Abbott on Friday.
Altman is facing a charge of attempted capital murder of a peace officer.
Tips can be made by calling the Texas Crime Stoppers at 1-800-252-8477 or 1-800-CALL-FBI. Tips can also be made online here and here.
Altman is considered armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach him and call 9-1-1.
