The Cowboy Journal is a magazine produced during a capstone class taken by agricultural communications seniors in their final semester. The Cowboy Journal staff members use the skills they have developed through courses such as layout and design, photography and feature writing to produce a magazine for the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture.

Samantha Bennett is from Fremont, Michigan, and is an agricultural communications major. Samantha's favorite part of the program is the support from peers and faculty that she knows will continue beyond graduation!

Phalen Cary is from Bixby, Oklahoma, and is an agricultural communications and agribusiness dual major. Phalen's favorite memory in the program is attending Photo Tour in Broken Bow, Oklahoma!

Reagan Conrad is from Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and is an agricultural communications major with minors in animal science and American Sign Language. Reagan's favorite memory from the program is discovering her love for writing through writing a feature story about an influential member in her community!

Jordan Murphy is from Salina, Kansas, and is an agricultural communications and animal science dual major. Jordan's favorite part of the program is learning more about the agricultural industry and documenting that knowledge through writing and photography!

Makayla Craig is from Re*****on, Virginia, and is an agricultural communications major. MaKayla's favorite part of the program is the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on real-world projects!

Delia Crawford is from Frederick, Oklahoma, and is an agricultural communications major and event planning minor. Delia's favorite part of the program is the opportunity for networking in and out of the agricultural industry.

Haley Rocha is from Los Banos, California, and is an agricultural communications major. Haley's favorite memory during her time in the program is taking the Layout and Design course, where she got to collaborate with her peers and be creative together.

Sydney Van Pelt is from Ardmore, Oklahoma, and is an agricultural communications and agribusiness dual major. Sydney's favorite memory is taking the Features course, where she discovered her passion for writing.

Leah Kelly is from Hendrix, Oklahoma, and is an agricultural communications and animal science dual major with a concentration in biotechnology. Leah shared her favorite memory in the program: I had the opportunity to take photos for the 2022 Cowboy Stampede through Dr. Cartmell's photography class. It ignited my passion for not only rodeo photography but also for photography as a whole!

Olivia Bellah is from McLoud, Oklahoma, and is an agricultural communications and animal science dual major. Olivia's favorite part of the program is many opportunities to grow personally and professionally. She has made connections that will last a lifetime.

Introducing our Photo Coordinator and Graphic Coordinators!

Quincy Thuener is from Placerville, California, and is an agricultural communications major and a marketing minor. Quincy's favorite part of the program is the variety of skills and real world experiences the program offers! Shoutout to Quincy for taking staff headshots!

Abby Helbach is from Amherst, Wisconsin, and is an agricultural communications major and animal science minor. Abby's favorite part about the program is how tight knit the students are. She feels everyone is rooting for each other to succeed and pushes one another to be their best!

Introducing our Sponsorship Coordinator and Online Media Coordinator!

Our Sponsorship Coordinator, Taylor McGill is from Tuttle, Oklahoma, and is an agricultural communications major and agribusiness minor. Taylor shared her favorite memory from the program: "I️ loved getting to go to AMS this past summer. I️ learned so much from the different workshops held! It was also a great way to meet industry professionals. Plus, OSU ACT was recognized as Outstanding Chapter of the Year!"

Our Online Media Coordinator, Reese Gonsalves is from Modesto, California, and is an agricultural communications major and ethical leadership minor. Reese's favorite memory from the program was attending Photo Tour with her friends, where they had the goal of going on as many adventures as possible during their free time. Her friend group visited three states in one day, went kayaking, and had a boat day!

Introducing our editors!

Lindi Brooking is from Altus, Oklahoma, and is an animal science and agricultural communications double major with a minor in agricultural economics! Lindi's favorite part about being in the agricultural communications program is all the friends she has made during coursework.

Ainsley Treesh is from Eagle, Idaho, and is an agricultural communications and agribusiness double major. Ainsley's favorite part is the friendships she has made; taking classes with her closest friends and collaborating on projects together!

Taylor Dowell is from Canton, Oklahoma, and is an agricultural communications and agribusiness double major. Taylor's favorite memory is learning photography and growing her skills surrounded by such fun people!
