Santiago finished first in the 200 freestyle (1:58.59) at the Ohio Division II Eastern District Sectional Swim Meet. This week’s 106.3 The River’s Dee Jay’s BBQ Ribs & Grille High School Athlete of the Week is Steubenville Boys Basketball player Aiden Davis. In a win over Dover, Aiden scored 26 points, including eight 3s (school record) and seven rebounds. He also scored 18 points with seven rebounds during a win over Wheeling Park and Aiden scored 16 points against St. Clairsville. Aiden receives a Dee Jay’s gift card and a plaque from Tri-Area Trophies in Weirton. Congratulations to Aiden Davis from 106.3 The River!

This week’s 106.3 The River’s Dee Jay’s BBQ Ribs & Grille High School Athlete of the Week is Edison cheerleader Rilee Givens. The junior captain helped lead Edison to the Ohio Division 4 non tumbling state championship. The Edison cheering team also earned Grand Champion in non tumbling. Rilee receives a Dee Jay’s gift card and a plaque from Tri-Area Trophies in Weirton. Congratulations to Rilee Givens from 106.3 The River!

This week’s 106.3 The River’s Dee Jay’s BBQ Ribs & Grille High School Athlete of the Week is Steubenville Big Red wrestler Brody Saccoccia! Brody posted a 19-4 technical fall to win the 157 pound OVAC Championship. Brody is now a three-time OVAC Champion. Brody receives a Dee Jay’s gift card and a plaque from Tri-Area Trophies in Weirton. Congratulations to Big Red 157 pound wrestler Brody Saccoccia from 106.3 The River!

This week’s 106.3 The River’s Dee Jay’s BBQ Ribs & Grille High School Athlete of the Week is Indian Creek girls’ basketball player Kaydence Walker. In a win over East Liverpool the sophomore scored 19 points with four rebounds, two assists and two steals. The next night, during a win over Beaver Local, Kaydence scored 14 points with six rebounds, three assists and four steals. Kaydence received a Dee Jay’s gift card and a plaque from Tri-Area Trophies in Weirton. Congratulations to Kaydence Walker from 106.3 The River!

Cole earned two first period pins and a technical fall on his way to win the 165 pound championship at the Shadyside Last Man Standing Tournament. Cole was also named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler. Cole receives a Dee Jay’s gift card and a plaque from Tri-Area Trophies in Weirton.
