Time sure does fly when you are having fun...this photo was taken early December of last year and little Millie was making her Christmas list. Not much has changed except her size😮. Her list consist of another KONG Shakers Honkers Turkey, another pack of large tennis balls, Jolly Pets Soccer Ball, another Romp-n-Roll and a Tree Tugger. Of course her BarkBox will be arriving the week of Christmas as well and there will be some extra goodies in her box. The last day, literally the final hour of daylight and this big guy decided to chase some tail from 300 yards to 50 yards and right into my sights. It was an extremely long week and a hard hunt for sure. Stressful is an understatement when you start to have that sinking feeling that there might not be any meat in the freezer this year. Thankful for another week of hunting and time in the woods with my Dad, which is priceless! His 50+ years of hunting knowledge keeps my brain churning and my mouth running, which drives him crazy.😂It was a long evening of prepping for processing and glad my brother jumped at the call when I said I could use the extra hand. Can't wait from him to Euro mount this one for me as well and get it hung up in the new house....one of these years! Thanks to DSG Outerwear-Women's Hunting Apparel for keeping me comfortable in all 4 seasons I had this week during my hunt. Living in NW Colorado, you never quite know what you are going to get in hunting season.

Hey friends, long time no see! We have been off grid for sometime but working behind the scenes when we have the time. It is still hunting season here in Northwest Colorado and we are doing our best to fill our freezers yet this year. IYKYK but the big game wildlife here had a devastating Winter last year which took the lives of huge herds. The last day for me is tomorrow so fingers crossed☝See you all soon!

Just a few more days until my elk hunting seasons begins here in Northwest Colorado. I am blessed to be able to share my hunting experience with both my parents and last year with my brother. On my very first hunt last season, I was able to take a bull, God willing I am successful this season as well. I am truly grateful for all the sport of hunting provides and that I have the freedom to do so. For the time I share with my family, watching these amazing creatures in their habitat, and for the food and nutrients they provide us. Time to get all my DSG Outerwear-Women's Hunting Apparel gear packed up and head to the cabin. Hopefully by this time next week I will have posted some BBD pics. 🤞
