The statistics of sexual abuse for women are incredibly heart breaking and astounding to me....and NOT where I thought this podcast was going to go at all.
*
Since starting this podcast, the last three episodes the women were affected by sexual abuse. Either their own experience or their partner's experience, but it's had a grave impact on their lives. And then a few women reached out to me wanting to tell their story of sexual abuse, but after consideration, I felt like perhaps they may not be ready to tell their story on a platform that can be so public.
*
This episode sent me into a deep meditation and conversation with a dear friend because I felt like the universe was trying to tell me something...while I think I may have figured it out, this episode lead to the very next episode launching in two weeks.
*
A huge THANK YOU to Amber for sharing her whole story; for being vulnerable, for wanting to share this with me and all of you. Amber Valentine

Men and women truly are different when it comes to health (and nearly every other area of life!). But the one thing that sets us a part is not only our intuition to know that something is off, but our resourcefulness in trying to find a solution.
*
One of the most important factors in women’s health is the ability to take responsibility for all your pieces - mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually - to come into harmony to fuel your healing and growth.
*
Episode 5: Connecting the Dots of Women’s Health Holistically is for EVERY WOMAN who has had an issue and felt like the traditional health system didn’t truly help them. It’s for EVERY woman at EVERY stage of her life that is looking to grow, heal, and begin their journey in becoming the best version of themselves…and quite frankly, I couldn’t think of a better guest to have had on to help kickstart your thinking in this way.
*
Thank you, @thebalancedhealer for sharing your infinite wisdom, your peaceful energy that always lifts me (and others) up, and of course for being uniquely you.
*

There are so many women in so much pain; from anxiety and depression to hormonal and physical ailments, but traditional doctors haven’t been able to truly help them. If this sounds like you….this episode is truly for you.
*
In Episode 5: Connecting the Dots of Women’s Health Holistically, Hana talks about how she was divinely led to create The Balanced Woman program from the women that she was seeing in her acupuncture practice and how it’s made such an impact on the lives of so many women.
*
Personally, since this episode I have become an acupuncture patient of hers and I CANNOT say this enough - she is sheer MAGIC! And I am dying for some consistent sleep and the ability to sign up for her program!
*
Tune in on FRIDAY!

Marriage is HARD. PERIOD.
*
Two people navigating a life together can have many a challenges, but what will you do when you're faced with infidelity? We all generally have a knee-jerk reaction, but the truth is, you may not really know in that moment. So what will guide you?
*
I am so grateful to this woman for sharing her story. So grateful. I know that I needed that talk in that moment and have needed it many times since we shot this episode back in June. And I just want to say an incredibly heartfelt thank you to Jill Galliher for sharing her story that was so vulnerable, so real, and so raw.
*
I give you Episode 4: Deciding to Fight - Fighting For Your Marriage After an Affair. I was so nervous in this recording because it's such a delicate conversation and I wanted to be respectful of Jill and her family -- especially since she has children that are old enough to hear this episode.
*
Please share it, like it, and pass it on if you know someone who needs to hear this.
*
With Love,
Katrina

My favorite piece of advice from the first episode with Tanisha Schoolfield, Owner of Creations by TYS - @creationsbytys - is to pray for the people that have hurt us the most.
*
Quite a few years back, a monk at the @kadampanewyork said the same thing to me - well, actually is was to send them love and light in my meditation -, but I really hadn’t thought about that in years. But it truly is GREAT advice.
*
Check out Episode One: The Broken Woman: Picking Up The Pieces for more of these fantastic little tidbits and to hear Tanisha’s brave story.
