If you’re "all about that baste," it’s time to lace up and register for the 17th Annual Statesboro 5K Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 23, in downtown Statesboro. Gather at the Bulloch County Courthouse Square, and the race begins in front of the historic Jaeckel Hotel, now City Hall.

The event is one of the largest fundraisers for the Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education's initiatives that support innovation grants for teachers and college scholarships for students. The Foundation invites you to register as an individual or form a team of five or more to make the day even more memorable.

All participants will receive swag bags, and the first 300 registrants will snag a complimentary Turkey Trot t-shirt.

The Statesboro 5K Turkey Trot is on Saturday November 23, 2024. It includes the following events: 5K RUN, 5K TEAM, 12 & UNDER FUN RUN, 5K Run - Bulloch County Schools Employee Registration, and 5K TEAM - Bulloch County Schools Employee Teams.

Dancing with the Statesboro Stars presented by D&R Intensive Car Care tickets are available for purchase ONLINE at https://buy.tututix.com/DWTSS and IN PERSON at Morris Bank’s main office, located at 201 North Main Street in downtown Statesboro, GA during normal business hours.

Tickets will be sold for both event dates on November 21 and 24, 2024, at Connection Church. Tickets are $30 starting November 1. All proceeds will support Safe Haven.

The Statesboro Herald will publish our annual Veterans section on Thursday, November 7 and extra copies will be distributed during the Veterans Day ceremony.

The section will feature photos, experiences and memories of military combat veterans in the Statesboro/Bulloch County area.
