JET - Jonesboro Economical Transportation is offering free rides for election day. Check out the list of eligible stops below!

Reminder - The polls are open today from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM for early voting and Jonesboro Economical Transit (JETs Bus Line) 🚎is offering complimentary bus rides to citizens wishing to vote. Complimentary rides will be available for both early voting and on election day. 🚎
🗹 Early voting began on Monday, October 21st, and continues weekdays, 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM through November 3, 2024, and Saturdays 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. November 4th, early voting will be open from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM only. Complimentary rides will be given to those who wish to vote early. The nearest bus stop is located on Washington Avenue in front of the Jonesboro City Justice Complex, one block east of the Craighead County Election Annex. Riders will be dropped off and picked up from the Washington Avenue stop free of charge, for voting purposes.
🗹 Election day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. JET buses will give complimentary rides for citizens to all polling places that are already within our daily routes. Complimentary rides will be available during open voter poll times, 7:30 AM until 7:00 PM. 🗹Voters may choose one of five (5) locations:
📍1. Allen Park Community Center (route 53)
📍2. ASU 1st National Bank Arena (yellow entrance) – JET’s Fowler Center (route 17) or Embassy Suites (route 53) stops
📍3. Craighead County Courthouse – JET’s Jonesboro Justice Complex stop (blue route)
📍4. Earl Bell Community Center (blue route)
📍5. Parker Park Community Center (blue route)
🕖Please note that all JET bus services end at 7:00, please plan accordingly.

Arkansas ranks sixth in dropping children from federal health insurance post-COVID, with over 184,000 disenrolled from Medicaid, half of which were children. The rapid disenrollment process faced criticism from advocates, affecting over 13,000 Jonesboro residents, including 4,500 children. Applications for Arkansas Medicaid programs are open year-round, with an extended open enrollment period for those impacted.
