Hey Estill County Athletics fans, the long awaited app is live!

It plays copyright free material (which we will be expanding), and when a game goes live we air it here so there is always a free audio option (unless there are still conflicting game times, then we will air based on sports director suggests).

PUBLIC NOTICE:

After much consideration, the Powell County Lions Club contacted Pickup Country 104.9 FM WSKV and requested that we DO NOT broadcast any of the 2024 Powell County Lions Club Agricultural and School Fair events except the Parade on Friday Morning. This request was made after majority vote by the club.

Due to the considerable drop in attendance and increasing costs associated with the County Fair, they ask that you attend in person and support the great events! As soon as a schedule is released, WSKV will be encouraging your in-person attendance by sharing and promoting Fair events right here on Facebook and on Broadcast.

We do know that Miss Powell County will be held as normal on Saturday, September 7th, 2024. The main Fair is scheduled Monday, September 9th, 2024 through Saturday, September 14th, 2024. But we do not officially know the times or finalized events at this time.

Please get out and support our local Fair and the Powell County Lions Club and their great work in the community!

Today is the opening day for the 2024 Stanton Corn Festival! Tonight the festival opens at 6:00 PM with the Stanton's Got Talent- Talent Show followed by Family Movie Night!

**Festival is RAIN or SHINE! The show must go on but if changes have to be made to the schedule of events announcements will be posted on our page.

Our committee has been working very diligently behind the scenes and we are prepping for a great festival! See you soon!

My dad decided in 1991 he would retire from the grocery store business. He wanted to fish more lol 3 days later CRS Auto Sales was here. He enjoyed people and helping people along the way. He worked here until 2007 which I know without any doubts he is finally fishing with God today. We did not let that stop us. We knew we had to push on and hit the ground running. I am still pushing on and running sometimes I run in circles or backwards.😜I will always be grateful for our customers support and trusting us over the last 33 years.
