The Scottish thistle was present throughout the ceremony for this lovely couple celebrating their 25th anniversary over the weekend. I met Tracey when our kids were in first grade and I’m so fortunate that our friendship has deepened over the years. Her love story is rare and touching. They are one of the most well-matched couples I know, even as complete opposites in many respects. The cookies were but one of the many surprises for guests at a celebration for which “save the dates” were sent over a year in advance! A ceremony at Gari Melchers Home and Studio and dinner and dancing Brock's Riverside Grill made for a memorable fun night! Special thanks to my friend SoYoung Kim who spent many hours helping me with these cookies.

Graduation is coming up and things are getting busy! After looking over my spreadsheet, I’ve decided it’s time to hit pause on new orders. Custom cookies take a lot of time, and I want to make sure I can give each batch the attention it deserves. It’s been barely a week but this crazy time of year almost made me forget to post my favorite boy’s birthday cake. He is not a huge fan of cake, he’s actually not too much for cookies unless they are warm but he does enjoy a cookie cake and I was happy to make not one but two for him. I think making treats for my kids and their friends is absolutely my favorite thing about baking!

Easter cookies are the prettiest. Pastels, patterns, you can’t go wrong! For me it also means that graduation season is looming...it’s my busiest time of year and I love it but it’s pretty much nonstop cookies for weeks and not alot of pastels. 😜 So before I move into graduation season, I’m going to enjoy my last day of promoting this adorable Easter Class.
