A protective style allows you the chance to rest from day to day task of styling your hair but it does not mean you can be lazy. You must still keep a regimen. Here are some tips when considering protective styles.
* Shampoo with a clarifying shampoo follow up with a moisturizing shampoo
* Use a protein treatment( this will help strengthen hair and avoid excessive shedding)
*Trim ends if needed
*Oil scalp at least twice a week.
*Limit keeping styles no longer than 8 weeks
