Hey writers! The more you know…
Many authors don't fully grasp the difference between a line edit and a copyedit. These are two completely different editing processes.

Join us in Williamsburg, VA on October 1st!
This year is truly an incredible year for the Williamsburg Book Festival!
Peter Stipe, our Board President, shares his thoughts on what excites him most about the 2022 Book Festival.
“We have nearly doubled the number of authors and publishers from previous years. To have this many quality authors involved along with such great speakers demonstrates that the Williamsburg Book Festival has become a key part of the year for area authors.”
As we get closer to October, we will be introducing you to our authors, publishers, speakers, sponsors, and more.

Bair Ink began with the mission to publish a collection of art and poetry in twelve monthly installments. That series of twelve books, and a few others, made for a busy inaugural year in 2017. I, April Bair, founded Bair Ink in a race against my mother’s cancer clock; she envisioned her work published in monthly installments over the course a year but full color is expensive to print and the market for the Spirit of Japan MyKu and Zengo series was niche... in other words, that’s not what traditional publishing does and we didn’t have a traditional time line to make it happen.
There are stories than need to be told that don’t fit neatly into traditional publishing. Great stories and great books that wake us up, calm us down, and inspire us that will never be published because they are offbeat and wonderful.
Bair Ink wants to share those stories.
Unique first hand stories by interesting people about amazing experiences.
2019 was a year of growth finding stories, like Lillian Freeman Aylor’s memoir “I’ll Get it Done” and a forthcoming literary fiction novel by Collette Shed.
As our publication list grows with books that our readers crave I imagine something of a pot-luck picnic focused on tangible printed books.
Join the journey. Enjoy the books. Try something that makes you look twice.
