I started off on a MPC 60mk2 (in the mid 90s), then went to a 3000 (in the late 90s). I owned a Linn 9000, MPC 4000 (still have), and MPC Studio (still have). What I swear by and still use today is the almighty MPC 3000. I will say this tho, I have been really leaning towards getting that MPC X for a bunch of the modern features that would come in handy in my studio, but it’s gonna be hard to get me completely off the 3000.
