We're Bruton Stroube, a commercial photography studio and motion production house. We're not one for mission statements or trust falls, but over the years we have worked very hard to build a culture and a team of people that share similar qualities. Quality comes before anything else, and we won't sign up for something that we can't do the right way. Organizing and executing a well thought-out pla

n is a great platform for allowing our people to do their thing. The rules are simple: There is no room for ego, everything is a team effort, and always, have fun while you bust your chops to get the job done. We have the resources to handle anything thrown at us, but we're still small enough to cuddle.

📸These storyboards were used to guide the multi-product shoot for Sonic in studio a while back.

We were able to bring all our capabilities - props, light, food styling, set design, photography, collaboration and client input - together to bring the vision to life and provide that perfect summer vibe. ☀️

We talked to Jake about these shoots and he pointed out little details that differ from the 2D design.

During production, there were small details, shadows and proportions that the team made micro adjustments for and created a bespoke lighting environment around for the best possible end image. (Having our retouchers on set is always handy!)

These technical aspects and realities of food and product photography are exactly what Sonic trusts our team of experts to handle.

We take pride in transforming our client’s visions into reality.

St. Louis!
One of the feature docs our post-production arm, Outpost, ran post for, Lions of Mesopotamia which premiered at SXSW this year, will have its first public screening at the Hi-Pointe (this will be the only STL screening of the film). The film is currently in sales mode, so it's a great opportunity to check out the pre-release screening. Director Lucian Read will be coming in from NYC for the post-screening panel/Q&A. It will kick off the St. Louis Filmmaker Showcase, and we would love to see you there!

Lions of Mesopotamia tells the remarkable story of the Iraqi national soccer team’s journey to becoming Asian Cup champions in 2007 during the bloodiest days of their country’s civil war. In victory, the national team, made up of Sunni, Shia, and Kurdish players, the sons of sworn enemies battling in a bloody war, united their country in its darkest hour.

When brought on set, it added an extra level of hype and real-time joy that was so contagious that was even jamming along, camera in hand.

We love bringing a specific style to the brands we work with, even if it’s subtle. So they can truly own unique and identifiable images specific to their branding. That may be with lighting or post-processing, but we pride ourselves on every brand getting a specific look that is right for them. We’ve shot Ag work state-side and internationally. Saddle up! Top Golf QBSOSHH was a big hit. Here’s a quick look at how BSS spent Thursday afternoon. A wide variety of golf ability and in-studio specialties didn’t stop the party at QBSOSHH (which stands for Quarterly Bruton Stroube Off Site Happy Hour). We had eats, drinks, Angry Birds and the COPA match rolling as we played. Outpost story producer and BSS fun facilitator @eliseandert can tell you first hand: The hardest part of QBSOSHH is scheduling. We are a super busy company (yay!) but that means our Motion team was booked up and on set having their own fun this time around.
