Community radio DJ, production/recording volunteer, concert photography&review/web content, amateur Hip-hop is diverse and so is the style of the show.

Elevated Rhymestate is a celebration of everything that hip-hop has become in its evolution. We focus on active, melodic production, often including live musicians, MPCs and DJs, and flowing, poetic lyrics, with attention to both the sound and meanings. The topics are often uplifting, conscious or humorous, highlighting the progressive side of hip-hop culture. While you may still find many of your

favorites from the known stars of the genre, much of the playlists will come from smaller markets and independent musicians, including unofficial focuses on the local St. Louis scene and international releases that may escape other outlets. Expect to hear how the genre has mingled with other genres, offering hybrids and influences in both directions. Elevated Rhymestate airs on 88.1 FM KDHX in St. Louis (and streaming at kdhx.org) every Saturday night from 11p-1a.
