Make some chili with me!
I made a triple batch so that I could can a bunch of it this time. Stocking up our pantry with homemade food has become a new passion project of mine…
Here is my chili recipe for a single batch:
1 lb hamburger
1-2 garlic gloves
1 onion
1 red & green pepper
1/4 jalapeño pepper
2 large cans of chili beans
2 cans of stewed tomatoes
2 cans of Rotel
2 cans of green chilis
Approx 1/4 cup chili powder
Approx 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
I start cooking the hamburger meat while I chop up my onion and peppers. I like to season the meat first.
I add the garlic and onions first. Then the peppers. Let that cook for about 10 minutes before adding in all your can goods.
After emptying each can good into the pot, I then fill that can with water and add it in. This will give you the right amount of liquid for your chili.
