The research is clear. Being poor and not moving leads to obesity. Obesity can lead to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and some forms of cancer. I can't help you with that poverty thing but I can help you with the movement part. Just cause you are broke doesn't mean you are broken. Let's get moving now! We are training for the Ferguson Twilight Run on Saturday, May 20, 2024 at 4:30pm! Sign up and join me for the kickoff on December 7th! https://runsignup.com/Race/MO/SaintLouis/FergusonTwilightRun?raceRefCode=dhF7CpuU

A friend asked this weekend, "How do I get started running? What's the first step?" My answer: Chose one hour a week that you will claim for yourself and your fitness. Start with one hour a week and guard it like your life depended on it. In fact, it does. Just start doing healthy stuff during that time. Meditate, stretch, walk, jog, walk-jog, breathe, be still. Just get started doing you. The running will come after you develop a routine of showing up for yourself.
