I did 15 years of a Friday evening Winter Holidays Ska-related radio show in late December,

then later,
15 years of a Saturday morning family Winter Holidays radio show.

Don't get to do number 16 MMGR Winter Holiday Show due to circumstances beyond our control.

Let's see how long this link to the 2020 Winter Holiday radio stays online. I lost 2021 & 2022 shows.

Thank you all for your very kind words of support after my last program last night. (Keeping true to form, the typically vindictive management at KDHX has wiped out the archives of last night’s program and all traces of my existence.)

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE!!!

I’m excited to let you know that I have accepted a position with WFMU in New York. WFMU is the longest running independent community radio station in America and is the gold standard for freeform radio. (Imagine KDHX the way it used to be…on steroids.) Along with their main terrestrial station at 91.1 FM, which serves New York and New Jersey WFMU has three major online streams which their management treats with as much important as their flagship station. I will be joining the online stream Sheena’s Jungle Room. Starting January 3, I’ll be back on Wednesday afternoon drive at 4-7 pm ET (3-6pm CT). Same program, but in keeping with WFMU, a little more eclectic. More info to come in the next few weeks! Hope you can join me!

In 2009-2010, we played a track every week from Ken Nordine’s “Colors” LP on MMGR. Word got to his granddaughter’s family who became regular listeners of of the show. His granddaughter Katrina (Katie) and her husband Dave sent us a photograph of Ken and his great grandson Nils Magnus Heltibrand working together on another sound project on Thanksgiving 2009. Thanks again to Ken for a lifetime of creating interesting music and to his grandkids for sharing the Merry-Go-Round with their children.
