We love supporting our students and their families with trying new foods/exploring food textures. For this activity, I grab some fall foods, print pictures, and then students use this sorting mat to sort as they try them.

Sometimes they don’t like any of the foods and sometimes we find something new they enjoy!

Having school on Halloween means allllll the trick or treating practice 🍭🍬🎃

We start by reading our interactive book while modeling “treat or treat” in their devices. The students have the opportunity to wear costumes if they’d like. We make sure kids and adults have access to visuals and communication tools with our candy bucket visuals and lanyard cards.

Truth 👆🏼

The teacher guilt on release days is heavy because I miss time with my kids and it puts a lot of additional responsibility on our paras.

But each time I need to be out, I’m reminded of how lucky our kids, myself, and our program are to have a group that pours so much love and energy into making sure the kids are taken care of.

I’ll say it over and over; hardest working team I know. 💫
