Mario He Max Lechner Wiktor Zieliński Eklent Kaci and Alex Kazakis would also destroy the American team this badly. In fact I could build 3-4 teams of European players and they would all win or at least be the favorite. It comes down to one simple fact, they are a team year round and American players get together a couple months before at best.

Unpopular opinion about pool: Backers or stakeholders are bad for the sport. That is not to be misinterpreted as gambling is bad for the sport because that isn’t at all true.

I want talk about something that I have been thinking about for a long time. Pool to me holds a very special place and one of the things that I’ve been an advocate of in the sport is the concept of pool not being a team sport or a tournament based sport but instead a 1v1 Initiative based sport similar to boxi or mma. Using the promotional formats laid out by boxing and mma especially the UFC makes the sport a much more competitive and exciting experience for not only the players but also the fans. Having narrative and story telling behind the players is crucial. I believe strongly that pool needs a completely new approach in order to gain casual engagement and fan investment. We have all the pieces but we just need someone to take charge in the attempt to make 1 on 1 events spectacular.

With the World Cup of Pool just around the corner, it’s that time of year when I run another bracket pot.
As soon as the bracket is released I will be delivering them to multiple locations plus doing them via messenger. The brackets will be $20 plus an additional opportunity to pick the overall winner and the final score for $10. Rules and brackets will be out soon so don’t miss out.

There’s a strong chance that we’ll be opening a training studio / action room here in the near future. The goal is to offer the most advanced training technology and action matches that are entertaining to viewers. What equipment and technology would you like to see? What coaches would you like to have in the building?

The table isn’t playing funny, you are!!!

Story time 😂

I remember as a child, there were those giant jaw breaker candies. They were so cool. My favorite ones were the ones that changed flavors as the got smaller and it was always enjoyable to get to that next flavor. I remember all my childhood friends had one at some point and the truth is there were many treats that had similar qualities. Tootsie Pop, Bubble gum pops etc. all used a similar practice. A prize in the center that took time to get to. Now that I’m older I look back on those things and realize there are some cool little concepts in these little moments. I remember one of my friends broke a tooth on one of the jawbreakers trying to get to the next flavor and while thinking about it I came to a realization.

It’s a lesson in patience, endurance and discipline.
Each stage of growth comes with a inherent struggle. Patience isn’t waiting for something to happen, although that is part of it, it’s enduring a certain circumstance whether it’s good or bad until the goal you are trying to reach is achieved. Forcing these things to happen bring on some unfortunate events such as; not enjoying the benefits of the struggle, or not the reward not truly being graciously acknowledged.

The reason I’m writing this is because these same concepts come into play in your journey to be a better pool player. The best coaches will all agree that if a player were to ask them “How do you make this shot?”, the answer they want to give is “First we have to work on your fundamentals”. To often we look at the faults in our game as missing a particular shot or getting out of line and hooking ourselves, when the truth is these are just the result of poor fundamentals and a lack of consistency.

My advice, and I do my best to take this in as well, is to Be Patient, Endure the Process of Growth, and maintain a Disciplined Approach whether in practice or competition. The reward in the center of of all the hard work will almost always be worthwhile.

As always shoot straight and have a great day!!!
