Meet Jacob, a young entrepreneur who is offering summer fishing lessons! 🐠

Jacob is now a junior at the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he studies Communications with a minor in Business. Jacob is also an active member of the University of Missouri Bass Fishing Team.

His classes cover essential skills such as tying a line, casting, and catch-and-release techniques. He teaches strategies to catch bass, catfish and bluegill.

Whether you’re a novice or looking to refine your skills, Jacob’s lessons promise to deepen your appreciation for nature and the art of fishing.

Meet David, Paige and their adorable daughter, Grace!

Our July athlete of the month is Silver Swimmer, Eric!

Eric, a 10-year-old competitive swimmer, has been a part of the Rockwood Swim Club for over 2 years and is currently a member of the silver team. Within just one year, he achieved a significant milestone: earning the “hardest worker” award in 2023.

Eric Dong’s love for the sport comes from the joy of improvement, the thrill of competition, and the demanding endurance needed, leading to significant accomplishments.

Abigail is a multi-talented bookworm!

She attends Chesterfield Elementary and is the sister of Graham and Elizabeth. Even when school is out, she loves reading! Abigail even decided to try out for the Battle of the Books team through school and made the team along with two of her friends, Alyssa and Shan!

When Abigail’s nose isn’t in a book, she might be on the volleyball court. Some of her other favorite activities include vacationing in Hawaii, eating ice cream and listening to Taylor Swift!

Say hello to Lucky and Leo!

These two Golden Retrievers belong to Michael, Carmen and Isabella. Lucky was born in April 2016 and boasts his light colored fur while Leo was born in August 2020 and sports a darker fur.

Lucky loves to play games with his family and go out on walks where he can get some fresh air and meet lots of people from the neighborhood. Leo on the other hand also likes walks and playing with his family and close friends. Lucky and Leo are cherished members of the family as they get the “run of the house.”

Kylie is an incredible athlete who has overcome many obstacles in the past year!

Kylie has been playing volleyball for seven years, and currently she plays right-side for Club Momentum 14U Navy. She loves and cherishes the friendships she’s made over the years due to volleyball, as well as the excitement of the games and tournaments.

Last June, Kylie tore her right meniscus playing volleyball, an injury that required surgery to repair. She recovered well while doing physical therapy and got back to playing quickly. During tryouts, last October, Kylie tore the meniscus in her other leg. The recovery process from both injuries taught Kylie a lot about dedication and perseverance in the face of hardship.
