We are thrilled to announce that author, Thomas Dear, will be a featured guest at this year’s Juneteenth Event in St. Joseph, Missouri! The children will get a chance to listen to him read his children’s book, ‘Teddy Makes Cents,’ and afterwards engage in a fun activity! Also, each participating child will leave with an autograph copy of his book!📚

A special thank you to the many people who helped organize this upcoming event including: Loes Hedge and St. Joseph Missouri Museum

Together, we will ignite the imaginations of our youth and inspire them to DREAM BIG!

We had an awesome time this past weekend at the Mathews-Dickey Boys & Girls Club for the ‘Inspiring Authors Book Bash🚀📚.’ It was wonderful to see members of the community come out and support such an incredible event. Micheal and I were able to inspire the youth by sharing their journeys in becoming authors. The engagement from them was great and we were thoroughly impressed with the questions they asked them. Later, we had activities prepared for them that pertained to STEM and Financial Literacy which tied in nicely with their books. They showed amazing ingenuity and were rewarded for their efforts.

Special thanks to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis and Assistance League of St. Louis for hosting such an amazing event. Everything was carefully prepared from the setup, panel questions, and Chick-fil-A lunch😄. Again, thank you for this opportunity and we look forward to future events.

This Saturday, author Thomas Dear and several other authors, will be participating in an Inspiring Authors Book Bash at Mathews-Dickey Boys & Girls Club!

Through engaging panel discussions, a hands-on STEM activity, and personal book signings, we aim to ignite the imaginations of our youth and inspire them to dream big! Each child will also leave with new books and an Author Starter Kit.

Author, Thomas Dear, was invited to Lift For Life Academy to share with the students his journey as an author and why he founded ‘Dream Big Publishing.’ His book, ‘Teddy Makes Cents,’ derived from a need to educate the youth about financial literacy. He decided to independently finance his book. And by doing so, he founded, ‘Dream Big Publishing,’ because no dream is ever too small...DREAM BIG!

Author Thomas Dear was honored when asked to be a presenter at this year’s Black Excellence Expo, held at Brittany Woods Middle School. The students heard from Black Entrepreneurs, Artists, Influencers, and more at the annual event. He had the pleasure of sharing his journey with the students, as both an author and entrepreneur, encouraging them to follow their dreams.

Special thanks to Lakaysha Shields for inviting us to come and speak with the students! He greatly appreciated the warm welcome he received from the faculty and students. It was a wonderful experience and we look forward to collaborating with you again in the future. Also, special thanks to my photographer/videographer Chelsey Roberts, for capturing a lot of great moments. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Author, Thomas Dear, was invited to City Garden Montessori Charter School for an author visit where he read to the students his children's book, 'Teddy Makes Cents.' He discussed the importance of saving your money and how to set money saving goals. Also, he was able to share with them my journey as an author. The work that your organization is doing to cultivate and showcase the amazing talent of the youth through music is incredible! It was truly an honor to be apart of this amazing event.

Thank you, WAY Center, for inviting author, Thomas Dear, as the closer for your summer program, ‘All About Money.’ It was an honor for him to share his journey with the students and read to them his children’s book titled, ‘Teddy Makes Cents.’ Afterwards, he had an activity prepared for the students called, ‘The Ice Cream Activity.’ It ties in nicely with the book. They had to create their own ice cream cone and present it to the class.

They were asked, “How does the ice cream cone represent them?” “What would you name the ice cream cone?” “How much would you sell the ice cream cone for if Teddy asked for one?” The students seemed to have really enjoyed the activity. It helped build the students self esteem. They showed amazing ingenuity. They learned the value of hard work and were rewarded for their efforts with ice cream. And most of all, they had fun!
