Wednesday mornings are our favorite!

Yesterday we had another great meeting with our club. We celebrated Cheyanne Benson completing her New Member Checklist & her mentor, Izzy Callison, removed her red sticker.

We welcomed Shallina Goodnight (Executive Director with The Alliance for Healthcare Education) as our program speaker. Our very own Tina Pham Morgan is also part of their team & we loved hearing about the exciting future of this program and what it will offer to our community.

It was a full house today for our weekly meeting at Twin Oaks! It's the last Wednesday of the month, so that means we had the omelet bar & Classification Talks!

Our first Classification Talk was special guest, Olivia Simon. Olivia is a recipient of our Middle School Recognition award & is now a freshman at Missouri State University. We loved having her back to hear what she's up to now & how receiving the Middle School Recognition award impacted her.
We are excited to start awarding this year's recipients of Middle School Recognition on February 19th!

We also heard from new members Rob Temple & Felipe Hardy!
Rob is an attorney with Kembell Woods & Martinson & shared how our very own Gary Powell served as a mentor in his legal education & helped get him to Springfield.
Felipe is with PC Net & is a Springfield transplant. We loved hearing how he ended up in 417 land & are happy to have him in our club!

Happy Wednesday!

Today was our first meeting of the year at Twin Oaks & we loved having Jen Johnmeyer from Alamo Drafthouse Springfield as our program speaker!
We enjoyed hearing more about the theatrical movie experience & how Alamo gets involved in the local community.

We ended our day with our monthly Wine Club social at Vino Cellars!

A promise is a promise..... We promised our club that if we won the Slime contest at Rotaract Double Dare to get our President Eric Lampe slimed that we would ALSO come back to a Sunrise meeting & slime Chad Astle. Our club raised more than $2,700 to get Lampe slimed & we WON! Yesterday we made good on that promise & slimed Chad! He even dressed up for the occassion & wore a tie! Thanks for being a great sport, Chad. "It's for the kids!" Rotaract Club of Springfield
